416th Bombardment Group (L) Photo Gallery

Most of these photographs were contributed by Capt. Francis J. Cachat, Chief, Photographic Service, 416th Bomb Group Headquarters. Capt. Cachat of Cleveland, Ohio enlisted in the USAAF in 1943. He served until the end of the war in Europe and was in France enroute to the Pacific theater when the war ended with Japan.

Mr. Andy Fluxe acquired them and contacted me after he visited the New England Air Museum website. Mr. Fluxe digitized all the photos and generously sent copies to me.

This photo gallery website is devoted to these photographs as well as a personal photo gallery designed by Rick Prucha and dedicated to his father, Lou Prucha, a pilot in the 668th BS.
